As chemistry and the semester are closing to an end, there are many things I have taken from the class over the semester. Whether that be the warm-ups we did every morning, or the labs we conducted, we went over many styles of learning throughout the semester. I came into the class knowing nothing about chemistry, and can end it saying I have learned a lot, and had a great semester learning it. What I didn't know about chemistry was how important it can actually be in the real world, even if you are in a non chemistry related field. Stuff like knowing how healthy a body of water is, or how healthy a drug is that your taking. This information is extremely useful in the real world. I think this information will be the biggest takeaway from the class. Information like knowing the pH levels of water, or the LD50 of a drug. I don't plan on doing chemistry in the future, but I do plan on using chemistry in the future.

So far in class, a big challenge I've had has been time management. As I type this right now I've been working for the past few hours to get my homework for chemistry done before it's due tomorrow. A big portion of this work is the student portfolio and DP Updates. Now that I have a feel for how the grading is going to go in this class, I will need to start updating my student portfolio and DP as I do projects, instead of doing it last minute and putting all the work and stress on me all at once. This will not only improve the quality of my work, but it will also be easier on me as a student. All of the work in this class I've done without problem up until this point, so it's clear that this portion of work in chemistry must be done overtime. So my goal before the next check in is to update my student portfolio as I complete certain criteria from it, and also update my DP overtime, and really just improve on my time management skills in general. This will be super beneficial to my work, so I hope this is something I can improve on soon.
